Dog leash

A four-plait leash with a spliced loop, rated for the strongest puller.

Rated for the strongest puller

A four-plait round braid with a spliced eye for the handle. It's stronger than the snap hook you attach to it, and it gets better looking the more it's used.

What you need

cord 4 strands × 2.5 m of 5 mm polyester
knots crown (for the splice), whipping
hardware one snap hook

The build

Braid the four strands into a round plait, splice an eye at one end for the handle, whip the splice, and clip the hook on the other. Two hours, and it outlasts the dog.
